On May 11, the country's first "South Asia international freight train" set off in LAN, and 10 days later, the freight train loaded with "made in China" will arrive in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, after rail and road transportation. This marks Lanzhou in the "Belt and Road" construction, after the opening of the "Lanzhou" Central Asia, Europe freight train, once again took an important step to open to the west to the south.
In the more than two years since the major strategic concept of the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward, countries along the routes have responded one after another. Last year, China signed Mous with more than 30 countries to jointly build the Belt and Road. Some major Belt and Road frameworks have begun to be built, such as the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, the China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor, the New Eurasian Land Bridge Economic Corridor, the China-Central Asia-West Asia Corridor, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor. Some have achieved encouraging results. First of all, in the past, freight between China and Europe mainly relied on air, sea and road transport, air and road transport costs are high, and sea transport takes a long time. With its characteristics of short distance, fast speed and high safety, as well as its advantages of safety and speed, green environmental protection and small impact on the natural environment, the China-Europe railway has become the backbone of land transport in international logistics.
The prospect of international freight transport is very broad, with a very high cost performance. As we all know, in the past, our logistics trade for South Asia and Southeast Asia was mainly completed by sea, and the railway freight train opened up the way of land transport, will give full play to the advantages of railway transport. It can be imagined that in the future, the economic trade, goods exchanges, personnel flows, cultural exchanges and technical support between various countries and cities driven by railways will certainly strengthen the "city" effect among countries, and the development pattern of the "Belt and Road" will also establish a cooperation system for the common development of countries in the world in mutual help, mutual assistance and mutual progress. With the complementarity of science and technology and the mutual assistance of resources, the railway will also take a step in the development, and eventually pave a world railway transport route map.
